Clients who call for 'a cleaning' often need a Level 2 — document which service they're getting before you go up the roof.
Line-item creosote buildup findings separately. Stage 1 creosote (light, flaky) cleans out in one visit. Stage 2 (tar-like) and Stage 3 (glazed) require different chemicals, extra labor, and sometimes a rotary loop system. Quoting them the same price causes problems.
Photograph inside the flue before and after. Camera footage is your protection when a client calls six months later claiming the chimney is still blocked. Save the SD card for every job you do.
